First Performances of Three Interludes

The ever energetic Keyna Wilkins gave the first performance of the First Interlude at a boutique studio performance in Melbourne on May 23rd. The program included a bunch of other Australian piano music - way to go Keyna!

The premiere of the complete Three Interludes was given at A Winter Recital only a couple of weeks later. The First and Second Interludes were performed by music students from Sydney’s Inner West: Marlon Wanigesekera and Ruby Resanceff. I gave the first public airing of the Third Interlude.

The Three Interludes are suitable for performance by younger pianists. As hoped, teenaged students have found them engaging and enjoyable to play. The Interludes range from grades 3-6 in terms of music examination level. The score can be purchased here.
