Mantoux - Halcyon

2021 will see the premiere of Mantoux for voice and cello. Mantoux was written for Australian vocal music champion and artistic director of Halcyon, Jenny Duck-Chong.

The text of the work was specially written by my buddy, Laurence Barratt-Manning. Laurence is perhaps best known for his film criticism and Mantoux is concerned with the life of Jewish-Moravian, Austrian-American film director, Edgar Georg Ulmer.

Mantoux is my first vocal work in 10+ years. Big shoutout to Jenny for all her assistance in writing for voice.
